What a year this has been!

It's May of 2025. What a year this has been! For most of 2024 and into 2025 we have been involved in moving from Washington State to Oregon. We packed up all our belongings, sold the house we lived in for 33 years, and shopped for a new house in Portland. After making offers on five houses one after the other (that failed in negotiations for various reasons) we happened to find our forever home that we knew was ours the moment we stepped inside.

It's a cute little 1922 bungalow of 3 bedrooms and one bath in "Overlook", a very desirable neighborhood that at first glance we'd thought was out of our price bracket. The only thing it needed was a kitchen remodel, but that is now complete.

But we're settled in now, and I've started writing again. The manuscript of my third novel, The Bitter Pit of the Cherry, is complete and I'm working on the front and back covers (I do my own covers, always based on a scene in the novel).

With any luck The Bitter Pit of the Cherry will be published later this year, in a Trade Paperback format.
